 A recent case settled for $4.2 million. I was able to place $1.5 million into a structured settlement. The client did not want to lock up all of his money in the structure because of low interest rates. Instead of letting the rest go to cash, I contacted Phase² and they helped me get appointed and properly sell an index annuity to the client. I settled a recent case involving a widow from an airline crash. The widow was 70 years old and only wanted a payout over 10 years. The rate on a structured settlement was less than 2 percent. The client wanted a product that could provide a higher rate of return and protect her principal. I contacted Phase², and they were able to advise me on a product that would fit the client’s needs. In a case that was clearly going cash, I was able to put a million dollars into an index annuity and make a 70k commission. I am planning on working with Phase 2 whenever I can.

 The client received a settlement of 3 million dollars. The client originally was not interested in a structured settlement as the rates were too low, and he did not want to lock up his money.  I was able to convince the client that his needs would be best satisfied by a combination of structure and index annuity. I covered his short term needs with a 10 year certain structured settlement and put the rest of his cash into an index annuity.  I used 500k to provide for his short term needs and $1.4 million into an index annuity. As the client was disabled, he could withdraw up to 10 percent a year from the index annuity without tax penalty. The combination gave him the flexibility and possibility of higher returns that the client demanded. The total commission on the case was $118,000. Phase² was great to work with and did everything I needed including explaining the products and helping me complete the application process.
